How to export flashcards from Quizlet

Quizlet exports flashcards as TXT. You can export your own decks, but not shared decks from other users. Follow the 5 steps below — or scroll down to download a sample export file.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Quizlet and log in
    Go to https://www.quizlet.com and click Log in.

    Enter your email/username and password, then sign in.

    Click Your library on the left side and open the flashcard set you want to export.

    Click the three dots (···) and select Export.

Convert your Quizlet export to Excel or PDF

Quizlet exports as a plain TXT file. It does not export Excel (XLSX) or PDF directly, but you can convert the TXT in a few steps:

TXT → Excel

  1. Open Excel and choose Data → From Text/CSV (or just open the .txt file).
  2. Pick the delimiter your export uses — usually Tab or Comma.
  3. Confirm, and your cards land in two columns. Save as .xlsx.

TXT → PDF

  1. Open the .txt file in any text editor or browser.
  2. Choose Print and select Save as PDF as the printer.
