How to export flashcards from Duolingo

Duolingo exports flashcards as CSV. You can export your own decks, but not shared decks from other users. Follow the 6 steps below — or scroll down to download a sample export file.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open menu
    Tap the menu (… icon) at the bottom right.
    Open menu
  2. Tap Practice
    Tap Practice.
    Tap Practice
  3. Tap Words
    Tap Words.
    Tap Words
  4. View vocabulary list
    Scroll through your vocabulary list.

    At the same time:
    - Start screen recording
    - Capture all learned words
    View vocabulary list
  5. Open DuoVocab website
    Click Start Vocabulary Export.
    Open DuoVocab website
  6. Upload recording
    Upload your recorded video file.

    The system will extract vocabulary and generate:
    - CSV file
    - Flashcard-compatible format
    Upload recording
